SONGWRITING AND SOUNDTRACK

I have written music as a solo artist, in bands and for theatre, tv and commercial commissions, and have a strong background in pop, indie-rock, electronic, ambient, musical theatre and classical.

My band Phonotype were signed to Fierce Panda Records in 2001 and had songs playlisted on daytime BBC R1 and MTV worldwide. As a solo artist under the name Sealife, I was signed to Elton John's Twenty-First Artists and Rocket Publishing, and supported Elton at London's O2 Arena at his New Year's Eve show.

I have written and collaborated with several songwriters and producers, including Ricky Ross (James Blunt), James Bryan (Nelly Furtado, Shawn Mendes), Will Hicks (Ed Sheeran) and Jez Ashurst (One Republic, Little Mix). I have composed music for a range of commercial clients, including Manchester Airport, Viagra, Betadine and Brufen, working to bespoke requirements for original music and sonic branding.

I have also written music for the Trinity Music Exam Syllabus.
